The Valuation Controller Private Equity - Senior Associate role within our Controller organization in the Asset & Wealth Management division is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of valuations for our extensive private equity portfolio. Reporting to the Valuation Control team lead in New York, you will play a key role in assessing the fair value of illiquid investments, supporting over $2 trillion in assets under management. This position demands a blend of technical expertise and strategic insight to navigate complex market dynamics and regulatory landscapes, contributing to the firm's reputation for robust risk management and transparency. In this role, you will conduct rigorous fair value assessments using advanced methodologies such as discounted cash flow analysis, market multiples, and option pricing models, tailored to private equity assets like direct investments, co-investments, and fund-of-funds structures. You will collaborate closely with portfolio managers, investment analysts, and external advisors to challenge assumptions, validate inputs, and produce comprehensive valuation reports that comply with ASC 820 and IFRS 13. Additionally, you will monitor macroeconomic factors, industry-specific risks, and liquidity events that could impact valuations, while participating in the continuous improvement of JP Morgan's proprietary valuation tools and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy across our global operations.
