Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable data platforms to support 55ip's investment strategies and JP Morgan Chase's asset management goals
• Lead the development of Python-based applications for data ingestion, processing, and analytics in a high-stakes financial environment
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts and traders to integrate data architectures with trading systems
• Ensure data security, compliance, and performance optimization across cloud and on-premise infrastructures
• Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in software engineering within the IT Architecture Group
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance data-driven decision-making in portfolio management
• Conduct code reviews and contribute hands-on to critical Python engineering projects
• Partner with global teams in Mumbai and other JP Morgan locations to align on enterprise standards
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in real-time financial data pipelines
• Contribute to strategic planning for IT infrastructure supporting 55ip's growth within JP Morgan Chase

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in software architecture, data engineering, and Python development within financial services
• Proven track record in designing scalable data architectures for high-frequency trading or investment platforms
• Deep expertise in Python programming and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure in a regulated financial environment
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards like GDPR and SEC regulations
• Hands-on experience leading cross-functional teams in agile environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in quantitative finance or algorithmic trading systems
• Certification in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks for financial data analysis

• Familiarity with real-time data processing tools in investment management
