Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of privacy advisory strategies for JP Morgan Chase's Americas operations, ensuring alignment with global privacy standards
  • Provide expert guidance on privacy risk assessments for new products, services, and technology initiatives in the financial sector
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy requirements into business processes, data management, and IT systems
  • Monitor and interpret evolving privacy laws and regulations, advising senior leadership on impacts to JP Morgan Chase's operations
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for high-risk financial data projects
  • Develop and deliver privacy training programs tailored to banking and financial services teams
  • Support incident response and breach notifications in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Foster relationships with regulators and industry groups to stay ahead of privacy trends in the Americas
  • Contribute to the enhancement of JP Morgan Chase's Firmwide Privacy Program through policy updates and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; JD or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in privacy advisory, compliance, or risk management within the financial services industry
  • Deep knowledge of global privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and U.S. state privacy laws
  • Proven track record in advising on privacy impacts for large-scale financial data processing and technology implementations
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration with legal, IT, and business teams in a multinational banking environment
  • Strong understanding of data protection principles and privacy by design in financial services contexts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US or CIPP/E) or equivalent certification
  • Prior experience at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
  • Familiarity with privacy aspects of AI and machine learning applications in banking
