Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of governance protocols for the TCoE, ensuring alignment with JP Morgan Chase's enterprise risk management framework
  • Shape business strategy by identifying emerging risks and opportunities in compliance and operational risk testing
  • Oversee the promotion and execution of key initiatives to enhance testing methodologies and assurance processes
  • Collaborate with global teams to standardize governance practices across regions, including Bengaluru operations
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise on their impact to TCoE strategies and protocols
  • Drive performance metrics and reporting for TCoE activities, presenting insights to senior management
  • Foster a culture of compliance excellence by training and mentoring team members on governance best practices
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with business units, risk officers, and external regulators
  • Identify process improvements using data analytics to optimize TCoE operations and reduce risk exposure
  • Ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's Code of Conduct and ethical standards in all strategic decisions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or JD) preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or governance within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in leading governance frameworks and strategic initiatives in a regulated environment like banking
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and operational risk standards
  • Experience in testing and assurance programs for compliance and operational risk in global financial institutions
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions, including APAC and global hubs
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase or similar
  • Certification in risk management (e.g., CRISC, CISA) or compliance (e.g., CAMS)
  • Knowledge of technology-enabled governance tools and data analytics in risk testing
