Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive credit analysis and underwriting for business banking clients, focusing on wholesale credit products
  • Assess financial health of corporate borrowers, including ratio analysis and cash flow projections
  • Prepare credit memos, risk ratings, and recommendations for senior management approval
  • Monitor credit portfolios, identify early warning signs, and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with relationship managers and business teams to structure lending solutions
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and Basel guidelines
  • Perform due diligence on new and existing clients in the Indian market
  • Support the ReEntry Program by mentoring junior analysts and contributing to team development
  • Analyze market trends and economic factors impacting business banking credit risk
  • Participate in credit committee meetings and provide expert insights on risk exposures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit risk analysis, underwriting, or commercial banking
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel; knowledge of banking regulations in India
  • Prior experience in wholesale credit or business banking within a financial institution
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment in Bengaluru
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local business practices in the Indian market

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced certification in finance or risk management
  • Experience with JP Morgan Chase systems or similar banking platforms
  • Familiarity with wholesale lending products for mid-market businesses
