Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis and due diligence on wholesale clients to assess creditworthiness
  • Develop and maintain credit risk models for portfolio monitoring and stress testing
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify, measure, and mitigate credit risks across JP Morgan's wholesale banking operations
  • Monitor credit exposures, limits, and early warning indicators for assigned portfolios
  • Prepare credit risk reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory submissions
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, Japanese financial regulations, and global standards
  • Support the approval process for new credit facilities and renewals
  • Analyze market trends and economic factors impacting credit risk in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Contribute to the enhancement of credit risk management frameworks and tools

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in wholesale banking or financial services
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English languages, with business-level fluency in both
  • Knowledge of Japanese regulatory requirements and international banking standards (e.g., Basel III)
  • Experience with credit portfolio management and stress testing in a banking environment
  • Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Finance or Risk Management
