Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments for corporate clients in the consumer, healthcare, and retail industries across EMEA
  • Develop and recommend credit structures, including covenants and pricing, to mitigate risks while supporting business growth
  • Collaborate with origination teams, relationship managers, and senior stakeholders to provide credit approval recommendations
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify early warning signs, and manage distressed credits in line with JP Morgan's risk appetite
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and EBA reporting standards
  • Contribute to the development of sector-specific risk models and stress testing scenarios
  • Support ad-hoc analyses for senior management and contribute to strategic risk initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams to enhance credit decision-making processes
  • Participate in credit committee meetings and provide expert insights on industry trends

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master's) preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably within wholesale banking or financial services
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, underwriting, and risk assessment for consumer, healthcare, and retail sectors
  • Proficiency in regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, CRR/CRD IV, and EBA guidelines applicable to EMEA
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French is highly desirable for Paris-based role
  • Experience working in a multinational financial institution with exposure to EMEA markets

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA, FRM, or equivalent certification in finance or risk management
  • Prior experience at a bulge-bracket bank like JP Morgan Chase in credit risk roles
  • Knowledge of sustainable finance and ESG factors in credit risk assessment
  • Experience with portfolio management and stress testing in volatile markets
