Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and approve intraday credit lines for wholesale clients to support seamless payment flows
  • Monitor real-time credit exposures and mitigate risks in high-volume payment environments
  • Collaborate with trading desks, treasury, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence
  • Develop and implement credit risk policies for intraday payments in line with JP Morgan's global standards
  • Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis for payment system disruptions
  • Provide strategic advice on credit optimization to achieve business growth objectives
  • Analyze client portfolios to identify emerging risks in wholesale lending and payments
  • Liaise with regulators and internal audit to support JP Morgan's risk governance framework
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team development in the Credit Risk function
  • Report on key risk metrics and present findings to senior management in London

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in wholesale banking or payments
  • Deep knowledge of intraday liquidity and payment systems, including RTGS and CHAPS in the UK market
  • Proven track record in making high-stakes credit decisions under time pressure
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, PRA rules, and EMIR
  • Experience with credit risk modeling and analysis in a global financial institution
  • Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent in risk management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) in Finance or Risk Management
  • Prior experience at a tier-1 investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
