Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a robust control framework for Wholesale Lending Services to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and control testing on lending processes, identifying gaps and recommending remediation actions
  • Collaborate with business leaders in Wholesale Lending to embed risk management practices into daily operations
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and control metrics, producing detailed reports for senior management and regulatory bodies
  • Lead investigations into control breaches or incidents, implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence
  • Support the integration of new lending products or technologies while ensuring control adequacy
  • Facilitate training programs on control management for team members in the first line of defense
  • Engage with second and third lines of defense (e.g., Compliance and Internal Audit) to align on risk priorities
  • Contribute to the enhancement of governance processes within JP Morgan Chase's Wholesale Lending division

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in control management, risk assessment, or compliance within financial services, preferably in lending or wholesale banking
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and UK PRA rules applicable to wholesale lending
  • Proven track record in identifying and mitigating operational risks in a banking environment
  • Experience with control frameworks, including testing, monitoring, and reporting on control effectiveness
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and lending portfolios for risk exposure
  • Professional certification such as CRISC, CISA, or equivalent in risk and control management
