The Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine is seeking an innovative and flexible educator with commitment to medical student education position as Biomedical Science Faculty. The position is designed for a master medical sciences educator (academic rank to be determined based on eligibility, with junior faculty encouraged to apply) with a passion for teaching and learning.
KP School of Medicine aims to deliver an innovative, integrated curriculum, utilizing technology-based instruction and evaluation, and small group learning. Candidates will be responsible for coordinating, developing, and teaching material throughout the four years of the curriculum. Biomedical Science content areas will include anatomy, genetics, physiology, biochemistry, histology, microbiology, immunology, pharmacology and neurosciences, as well as other biomedical sciences and clinical sciences. Selected individuals will also have administrative responsibilities including coordination with other content areas, generation of appropriate evaluation tools, student evaluation and interdisciplinary collaborations. The successful candidate must possess a strong passion for curriculum development and integration with the clinical sciences, creativity, experience working with technology, and a track record of collaboration.
