The Director, Supply Chain, Transportation role will support the broader pharmacy strategy-s Rx delivery & transportation capability by playing a key role in (1) Developing and maintaining the foundation elements for a more robust shipping ecosystem to proactively track, mitigate and communicate ongoing shipping issues, (2) Evaluating and optimizing delivery routes and IT systems to minimize time and cost, while maximizing delivery volumes considering patterns and patient availability, (3) Understanding compliance and HIPAA needs to protect patient privacy, secure patient identifiable information as well as state and federal regulations for prescription deliveries including cold chain, necessary licenses and background checks and (4) Working with shipping vendors and internal partners to support various programs & departments.
In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for ensuring continued success in maintenance by developing innovative strategies to improve vehicle inspection, maintenance and repairs; developing advanced strategies to continually improve investigations of vehicle accidents; driving advanced strategies to ensure ongoing improvements in the investigations of vehicle reassignments and replacements; establishing long-term advanced strategies to improve the resolution of complaints regarding maintenance of vehicles; building advanced strategies to improve the maintenance processes; forming innovative strategies for the selection of vendors for future transportation contracts projects; ensuring ongoing effective driver management to meet safety, performance, and regulatory expectations by developing innovative strategies to improve scheduling of driving assignments to guarantee coverage for all routes; establishing innovative strategies to improve communications of traffic problems, such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, or other hazards to drivers; building advanced strategies to improve scheduling of driving assignments to guarantee coverage for all routes; forming innovative strategies to address driver questions, concerns, and/or resolve issues; driving innovative strategies to ensure high on-time delivery performance and fleet profitability; forecasting future driver training needs to ensure ongoing compliance with driver safety policies and regulations; ensuring ongoing improvements in vehicle fleet dispatcher services by developing innovative strategies to improve matching drivers and equipment to a load plan and start time; establishing advanced strategies to improve coordination of transportation schedules; overseeing the purchasing vehicles and ensuring others are adhering to national fleet policies; proactively monitoring fleet fuel and maintenance program and monitoring fleet vehicle disposition, monitoring that procedures are aligned to relevant policies; driving innovative strategies to resolve transportation issues (e.g., damaged products); developing advanced strategies to better meet the future needs of dispatcher services; forming innovative strategies to maximize driver/equipment utilization; and leads conversation and collaborates with other seniors leaders to resolve operational concern.
