Position Summary
The AI Risk Advisor is an embedded expert within KeyBank's AI Center of Excellence, guiding model owners in drafting proposals, preparing validation evidence, and aligning with governance standards. This role supports lines of business and model owners in responsibly adopting AI, ensuring initiatives meet governance, risk, and compliance standards while driving scalable, ethical innovation. Focus areas include Generative AI adoption, vendor evaluations, and enterprise-wide AI governance.
Key Responsibilities
AI/ML Lifecycle and Governance
- Facilitate risk-aware AI/ML lifecycles aligned with internal standards and regulations, emphasizing Generative AI.
- Evaluate AI vendor proposals for feasibility, risk alignment, data privacy, and ethics.
- Guide model validation documentation, including conceptual soundness, data quality, and outcome benchmarks.
Risk Assessment and Compliance
- Assess risks in model transparency, data provenance, IP, privacy, and regulations.
- Establish best practices for responsible AI/ML, aligned with risk management.
- Provide hands-on support for documentation, testing automation, and governance consulting.
Training and Change Management
- Curate training content for developers and business adopters.
- Support change management and enterprise AI acumen building.
- Offer feedback on business cases for clarity, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor's in AI, ML, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; 5-10 years in risk management, model analytics, data, or AI. Deep understanding of AI/ML lifecycles, model risk, and governance. Experience in language model evaluation, vendor risk assessment, and compliance. Familiarity with tools like Google Vertex AI, Copilot Studio, and ServiceNow is a plus.
