Position Summary
The Community Development Asset Manager – Debt role is pivotal in supporting KeyBank's national affordable housing initiatives. This full-time, mid-level position in Cleveland, OH, focuses on managing a portfolio of debt instruments, including construction loans, bridge loans, permanent loans, and equity bridges tied to Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects. You'll analyze loan and property performance, mitigate risks, ensure covenant compliance, and collaborate with internal teams and clients to drive portfolio success and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively manage the portfolio to maximize profitability and maintain strong asset quality through timely issue resolution and accurate risk ratings.
- Deliver comprehensive loan analyses, annual reviews, quarterly portfolio reports, and asset quality assessments.
- Monitor adherence to loan covenants, past dues, and ticklers while coordinating property inspections and credit file maintenance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, building credibility with clients, underwriters, relationship managers, and servicing teams.
- Contribute to underwriting, train analysts, and lead initiatives for improved data integrity and risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in financial statements (operating statements, balance sheets, budgets) and legal documents (loan agreements, partnerships).
- Proven ability to handle pressure, multitask, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with experience working independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of affordable housing finance, LIHTC, and community development lending preferred.
