Position Summary

The Associate Private Client Advisor at KeyBank partners closely with seasoned Private Client Advisors to deliver comprehensive investment solutions tailored to mass affluent clients. Focusing on financial planning and wellness, this role emphasizes consultative sales, client engagement, and collaboration with retail branch teams. Based at our Olympia, WA location (3611 Martin Way E), you'll play a key role in maximizing needs-based sales production, growing revenue, and fostering partnerships across the organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Private Client Advisors to coordinate investment product delivery, client management, and service for mass affluent clients.
  • Actively engage licensed and non-licensed branch staff to uncover investment referral opportunities from new and existing clients.
  • Leverage consultative sales processes and assessment tools to provide needs-based financial solutions, including a range of investment products.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve sales production goals by managing books of business, lead lists, and closing referrals through financial planning.
  • Develop Centers of Influence strategies and strong partnerships with Retail Branch Managers to drive cross-selling and full relationship development.
  • Conduct due diligence research and build investment cases to inform client decisions.
  • Comply with all KeyBank policies, maintaining ethical standards and client-first focus.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licenses: FINRA S7 (or SIE), S66 plus state insurance license, or S63/S65 upon hire (required; must obtain within specified timeframe).
  • Skills: Proven sales track record, client-centric approach, collaboration, critical thinking, influence, persuasion, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience: Knowledge of investment portfolios, bank products, and ability to use financial systems; strong team player with sales results in investment services.

Note: Promotion to Private Client Advisor requires full licensing; commission sharing available through partnership.
