Position Summary

As a Branch Manager at KeyBank's Portland, ME location (400 Forest Avenue), you will lead a high-performing team dedicated to exceptional client service and business growth. This hire-ahead role requires flexibility to work across Southern Maine branches. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, problem solver, and community leader, focusing on small business relationships while ensuring seamless branch operations and regulatory compliance. Drive branch success through the Branch Playbook, coaching, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development

• Build, coach, and motivate a team to deliver outstanding client experiences and achieve sales targets.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, and performance through daily huddles and observational coaching.
• Foster partnerships with internal lines of business like Key Investment Services and Mortgage.

Business Growth and Client Acquisition

• Conduct outside calling to small businesses, developing centers of influence for referrals.
• Grow the branch through retention, expansion, and acquisition of small business deposits and credit products.
• Deepen client relationships by recommending tailored financial solutions.

Operations and Compliance

• Ensure adherence to operational, security, audit, and regulatory procedures.
• Oversee timely completion of branch tasks and maintain ethical standards.
• Work Saturdays as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3+ years sales leadership experience with proven team success.
• 3+ years small business banking experience, including deposits, credit, and operations.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, consumer credit (LTV, DTI, credit reports).
• Demonstrated networking skills with COIs and influencing business partners.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and community engagement abilities.
