Position Summary

The Commercial Associate plays a pivotal role on relationship teams, supporting sales and credit functions for commercial banking clients. This hybrid position (3 days in office) is based at 1301 Avenue of the Americas in New York, NY, or Hudson Valley, NY, depending on the selected candidate's location. Ideal for professionals with 1+ years in commercial banking, you'll manage lending processes for credits under $10 million, create compelling pitch materials, and ensure seamless deal execution using tools like Salesforce and nCino.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with relationship managers, underwriters, and loan closers on deals under $10M credit commitments.
• Develop pitch materials for prospects regardless of deal size and lead due diligence meetings.
• Review loan requests, collect financial documents, and perform ROE analysis and financial spreads.
• Manage nCino data entry, preflight memos, and credit approval reviews for accuracy.
• Oversee loan documentation consistency and portfolio management, including annual reviews and risk rating remediation.
• Proactively identify credit risks and support examiners and internal reviewers.
• Train new Commercial Analysts and ensure compliance with KeyBank policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (required).
• 1+ years commercial banking experience in credit structuring, analysis, sales, or risk assessment.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, Salesforce, nCino, and commercial banking products.
• Strong organizational skills to handle complex workflows and maintain data integrity across systems like Hogan and LIQ.
