Position Summary
The Community Development Loan Officer (CDLO) at KeyBank plays a pivotal role in originating residential mortgage loans tailored to clients' home lending needs. Based at our Mount Kisco branch, you'll prospect new business, provide expert advice on mortgage options, and manage the loan process from application to closing. Success is driven by meeting sales goals, delivering exceptional client satisfaction, and maintaining loan quality standards. This full-time, mid-level role offers a competitive hourly base of $20.67 - $31.25 (approximately $43,000 - $65,000 annually) plus incentives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop home lending business to originate new client loans and relationships.
- Process residential mortgage transactions per KeyBank guidelines, advising on rates and terms.
- Serve as primary client contact, gathering documents and ensuring smooth workflows.
- Maintain expertise in KeyBank products, real estate trends, and mortgage regulations.
- Work in-branch 4+ days/week, participating in team huddles and debriefs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 3+ years as a loan officer in first mortgage production.
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHA, VA, RESPA, and related regulations.
- Excellent communication, customer service, sales, and financial skills.
- Proficiency in loan origination systems; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities
- Prospect home lending business to build and develop new client loan originations and relationships
- Originate and process family residential real estate mortgage transactions in accordance with Home Lending process and product guidelines
- Provide clients with detailed information about mortgage options, interest rates, and terms
- Gather documents at loan registration and serve as primary point of contact during the loan process
- Develop and maintain knowledge of KeyBank products, services, and competitive offerings
- Work in branch environment 4+ days/week, participating in morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs
