Position Summary
The Community Development Loan Officer (CDLO) at KeyBank in West Springfield, MA plays a pivotal role in originating residential mortgage loans tailored to community needs. This full-time, mid-level position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.67 - $31.25 (approximately $42,993 - $65,000 annually based on 2080 hours), plus incentive compensation including commissions. You'll prospect new business, guide clients through the mortgage process, and drive KeyBank's home lending growth while ensuring exceptional service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop referral sources to originate family residential mortgages.
- Provide expert advice on mortgage options, rates, and terms to help clients achieve financial goals.
- Manage the full loan process from application to closing, gathering documents and maintaining client contact.
- Work 4+ days/week in-branch, participating in team huddles and debriefs.
- Stay updated on real estate trends, regulations (FNMA, FHA, VA, RESPA), and KeyBank products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 3+ years as a loan officer in first mortgage production.
- Knowledge of mortgage regulations and real estate laws.
- Excellent communication, customer service, sales, and financial skills.
- Proficiency in loan origination systems; valid driver's license required.
