Position Summary
The Compliance Officer - Consumer Deposit role within KeyBank's Consumer Deposit Compliance team provides critical second-line oversight for federal regulations governing deposit products. Based at our 4910 Tiedeman Road location in Brooklyn, Ohio, this position offers a base salary range of $71,000 - $122,000 annually, plus incentive compensation. Ideal for experienced compliance professionals passionate about mitigating risks and ensuring regulatory adherence in banking.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver subject matter expertise on regulations like Reg E, CC, DD, D, UDAAP, and deposit insurance (12 CFR 330) to first-line business units.
- Conduct proactive compliance monitoring, testing, and gap analyses to identify process improvements.
- Build trusted relationships with lines of business for effective oversight and risk mitigation.
- Stay current on evolving laws, enforcement actions, and facilitate necessary policy changes.
- Support internal audits, regulatory exams, corporate policy development, and training initiatives.
- Provide independent review, challenge, and consultative advice on business activities and projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Juris Doctorate or CRCM preferred.
- 3+ years in financial services compliance, bank regulation, or comparable legal experience.
- Deep knowledge of deposit products, systems, and regulations including Electronic Signatures, Overdraft Guidance, and advertising rules.
- Exceptional relationship management, leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven compliance monitoring skills, sound decision-making, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
