Position Summary

The Covenant Compliance - Ops Analyst I role at KeyBank involves examining and monitoring covenant requirements in loan documents to ensure full compliance. Based at 11501 Outlook Street in Overland Park, Kansas, this hybrid position offers a base salary of $51,000 - $78,000 annually, plus incentive compensation. Ideal for analytical professionals with loan document expertise seeking growth in commercial banking.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

• Review, analyze, and interpret complex loan documents to identify covenant requirements.
• Calculate property-level performance metrics using borrower-provided financial statements per loan agreements.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Surveillance Analysts, and internal teams to obtain documentation and escalate non-compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate loan collateral data in servicing systems.
• Scrub and implement new deals/securitizations, verifying covenants and thresholds.
• Monitor assigned loan portfolio to ensure ongoing compliance with agreements.

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Four-year college degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting loan documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, paired with high analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of commercial underwriting principles.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting operating statements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in real estate servicing, transactions, accounting/auditing, or commercial loan underwriting.
• Efficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
