Position Summary
The Department Servicing Manager - Institutional Real Estate Group oversees a team of professional staff servicing a diverse portfolio of real estate products across multiple production offices. This role demands expertise in team management, risk mitigation, compliance, and superior client service for institutional clients. Collaborate with closing managers and senior leadership to drive continuous improvement, loan system processing, and end-to-end business processes in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Servicing Officers: Assign duties, track pipelines, hire, train, and develop team members.
- Deliver expertise: Support lending teams, review documents, participate in client meetings, and provide system guidance.
- Manage portfolio operations: Handle loan boarding, modifications, data integrity, escrows, collateral accounts, and disbursements.
- Ensure risk & compliance: Analyze exceptions, negotiate waivers, monitor flood zones, and escalate issues promptly.
- Drive improvements: Lead projects, enhance lending platforms, and foster alliances with relationship managers for exceptional service.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years managing teams in non-owner occupied commercial real estate loan servicing, with syndication focus.
- Proven bank operations, compliance, and CRE servicing knowledge.
- Strong skills in people management, risk control, service excellence, and multitasking.

- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial oversight (preferred) (experience)
Responsibilities
- Daily supervision of Servicing Officers team including hiring, training, development, and pipeline tracking
- Provide expertise to lending teams, review credit approvals and loan documents, engage in client meetings
- Analyze waiver requests, negotiate exceptions, and manage loan boarding, maintenance, and data integrity
- Facilitate rate changes, payments, escrows, collateral monitoring, and DDA restricted accounts
- Communicate issues to managers, form alliances with RMs, and support continuous improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with KeyBank policies, risk management, and superior client service
