Position Summary

The KPB Lead Institutional Advisor plays a pivotal role in developing investment management relationships with sophisticated institutional clients. Based at our Seattle office at 1301 5th Avenue, this position involves collaborating with KPB Markets and Banking Partners to identify prospects, deliver tailored solutions, and manage a book of clients. As a key team member, you'll ensure proactive client experiences, exceptional sales results, and sustained business growth in the competitive institutional advisory space.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Prospecting

  • Lead the development and closure of complex client opportunities while positioning Institutional Advisor capabilities.
  • Serve as primary contact for external sales, mastering first-contact strategies and niche market prospecting.
  • Coordinate RFP processes from preparation to presentation in partnership with KPB teams.

Pipeline and Client Management

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline reviewed regularly with managers to meet success metrics.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers on opportunities, including deal closure and onboarding.
  • Utilize Salesforce, networks, and events to generate leads and maximize sales calls.

Client Experience Excellence

  • Deliver disciplined pre-call planning, uncover client motivations, and secure commitments.
  • Understand competitors, execute client strategies, and exceed expectations through ongoing engagement.
  • Foster partnerships across KPB, banking teams, and Centers of Influence for shared success.

Required Qualifications

Ideal candidates bring proven sales expertise in institutional finance, deep product knowledge, and a client-centric approach. Key qualifications include experience closing sophisticated deals, RFP management, pipeline mastery, and collaboration skills. Proficiency in Salesforce, competitive analysis, and relationship building is essential. A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field, plus 7+ years in institutional advisory or wealth management, is preferred.
