Position Summary

The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) at KeyBank's Denver branch plays a pivotal role in originating residential mortgage loans. You'll guide clients through personalized home lending solutions, from initial consultation to closing, while driving business growth through referrals and exceptional service. This full-time role requires in-branch presence 4+ days per week at our location: 2305 S Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO 80222. Excel in sales goals, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction in this rewarding mid-level position.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new mortgage business through networking, real estate agents, and COI relationships.
• Originate and process family residential mortgages per KeyBank guidelines and regulations like FNMA, FHA, VA.
• Advise clients on mortgage options, interest rates, terms, and repayment strategies for informed decisions.
• Serve as primary contact, gathering documents and managing workflows from application to closing.
• Maintain high loan quality, client satisfaction, and proficiency in sales systems while tracking market trends.
• Participate in branch huddles, debriefs, and deliver in-person services to build KeyBank's home lending pipeline.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years as a loan officer in first mortgage production preferred.
• Deep knowledge of mortgage regulations (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, RESPA, ECOA).
• Excellent verbal/written communication, sales, customer service, and financial analysis skills.
• Valid driver's license for multi-location travel; ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Compensation: Commission-based with $15 hourly draw (approx. $31K-$36K base annually), plus deferred incentives and full benefits. Posting expires 03/31/2026.
