Position Summary
The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) at KeyBank plays a pivotal role in originating residential mortgage loans, providing expert analysis, and delivering tailored home lending solutions. Based in Denver, CO, you'll prospect new business, meet sales goals, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction while navigating the full loan process from application to closing. This full-time role requires in-branch presence 4+ days per week and offers commission plus a $18.81 hourly draw.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Origination
- Prospect and develop home lending opportunities to expand KeyBank's client base.
- Originate and process family residential mortgages in compliance with guidelines.
- Build partnerships with real estate agents, financial advisors, and centers of influence (COI).
Client Service Excellence
- Advise clients on mortgage options, interest rates, and repayment terms.
- Serve as primary point of contact, gathering documents and managing workflows.
- Maintain high standards of loan quality and client satisfaction.
Professional Growth
- Stay current on real estate trends, KeyBank products, and regulatory changes (FNMA, FHA, VA, RESPA).
- Participate in branch huddles, debriefs, and team activities.
Required Qualifications
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of mortgage loan officer experience, knowledge of lending regulations, and a Bachelor's degree (preferred). Key skills include excellent communication, sales proficiency, financial acumen, and a valid driver's license. Proficiency in originator systems and ability to work in a fast-paced branch setting are essential.
