Position Summary
As a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) at KeyBank's South Euclid branch located at 4461 Mayfield Road, you will assist clients in originating residential mortgage loans. Provide expert analysis and advice on home lending solutions tailored to their financial goals. Drive business growth through referrals, meet sales targets, and uphold exceptional client satisfaction and loan quality standards. This full-time role requires in-branch presence 4+ days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Origination
- Prospect and build new client relationships to grow KeyBank's home lending portfolio.
- Originate and process family residential mortgages following Home Lending guidelines.
- Deliver detailed information on mortgage options, interest rates, and terms for informed client decisions.
Client Management & Compliance
- Gather loan documents at registration and remain the primary client contact throughout the process.
- Maintain high standards of satisfaction, quality, and efficient workflows in sales systems.
- Stay current on KeyBank products, real estate market trends, and mortgage industry developments.
- Comply with all policies, regulations (FNMA, FHA, VA, RESPA), and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3+ years as a loan officer in first mortgage production preferred.
- Knowledge of mortgage regulations including FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, TIL, and RESPA.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and sales skills (prospecting, networking).
- Financial acumen for market analysis and strategic lending advice.
- Valid driver's license; ability to work in branch environment with PC use and occasional lifting.
