Position Summary
As a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) in South Portland, ME, you'll assist clients in originating residential mortgage loans, providing expert analysis and advice on home lending options tailored to their financial needs. You'll drive business growth through referrals, meet sales goals, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction and loan quality. This full-time role requires in-branch presence 4+ days per week at our 445 Gorham Road location.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new home lending business and client relationships.
- Originate and process family residential mortgages per KeyBank guidelines.
- Educate clients on mortgage products, interest rates, and terms.
- Manage loan documentation and remain the primary client contact.
- Maintain proficiency in sales systems, market trends, and competitive offerings.
- Participate in branch huddles and debriefs while complying with all policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 3+ years as a loan officer in first mortgage production (preferred).
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHA, VA, RESPA, and related regulations (preferred).
- Excellent communication, customer service, and sales skills.
- Financial acumen for market analysis and strategic advice.
- Valid driver's license for multi-location travel.

- Valid driver's license and ability to drive to multiple locations (experience)
