Position Summary
The Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) at KeyBank's Tacoma branch plays a pivotal role in originating residential mortgage loans. You'll provide expert analysis and advice on home lending solutions tailored to clients' financial goals. By developing referrals and exceeding sales targets, you'll grow KeyBank's home lending business while upholding exceptional client satisfaction and loan quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop internal/external referral sources to drive new loan originations.
- Originate and process 1-4 family residential mortgages per KeyBank guidelines.
- Serve as the primary client contact, gathering documents and ensuring smooth loan processes.
- Maintain expertise in products, competitors, real estate trends, and mortgage regulations.
- Foster relationships and comply with all banking policies for ethical operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience (preferred).
- 3+ years as a loan officer in first mortgage production (preferred).
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, RESPA, and related regulations (preferred).
- Excellent communication, customer service, sales, and financial skills.
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel locally.
