Position Summary
As a Personal Banker at KeyBank's Port Orchard, WA location (1301 Bay Street), you will serve as a trusted advisor, problem solver, and partner to clients. This client-first, sales-driven role involves engaging in meaningful conversations to uncover financial needs, recommend tailored solutions, and drive client confidence. You'll collaborate with branch teams to attract new clients, deepen existing relationships, and achieve sales goals while supporting branch operations.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Sales
- Listen for financial wellness opportunities during in-person and phone interactions, providing customized recommendations.
- Open accounts including consumer checking, small business, loans, and CDs.
- Attain activity, behavior, and outcome goals through proactive outreach and referrals.
Team Collaboration & Operations
- Build partnerships with teammates and business lines for client acquisition.
- Support teller transactions and participate in daily huddles/debriefs.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, risk procedures, and documentation standards.
Weekend Availability
Work Saturdays as directed by management to serve our community effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1+ years in sales, customer relationship development, and referral building (financial services experience not required).
- Knowledge of consumer credit (LTV, DTI, credit reports).
- Sales techniques including prospecting, networking, and tele-consulting.
- PC proficiency (MS Office) and digital tech savvy (apps, online banking).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and influencing skills.
