Position Summary
As a Personal Banker at KeyBank's Salem, OR location (1500 Edgewater Drive NW), you'll serve as a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to clients. This client-first, sales-driven role involves engaging in meaningful conversations to uncover financial needs, recommend tailored solutions, and build lasting relationships. Whether in-person or via proactive calls, you'll help clients navigate their financial goals while contributing to branch success through new client acquisition and relationship expansion. Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Sales
- Listen for financial wellness opportunities and provide customized recommendations.
- Open accounts including consumer checking, small business, loans, and CDs.
- Attain activity, behavior, and outcome goals consistently.
Team Collaboration & Operations
- Build partnerships with teammates and business lines for client acquisition.
- Support teller line transactions and participate in daily huddles/debriefs.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, risk procedures, and documentation standards.
Additional Duties
Work Saturdays as needed and perform other assigned tasks to support branch operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 1+ years in sales, customer relationships, and referral building.
- Knowledge of consumer credit (LTV, DTI, credit reports).
- Sales techniques including prospecting, networking, and tele-consulting.
- PC proficiency (MS Office) and digital banking expertise.
- Strong ethics, work ethic, and partner influence skills.
