Position Summary
As a Personal Banker at KeyBank's Syracuse location (201 South Warren Street), you'll be a trusted advisor and problem solver. Engage clients through in-person interactions and proactive calls to uncover needs, recommend solutions, and build lasting relationships. This sales-driven role requires a client-first mindset, strong teamwork, and a competitive spirit to attract new clients and deepen existing ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional client experiences by listening for financial opportunities and providing customized recommendations.
- Achieve sales goals by opening accounts, loans, and deposit products for personal and business clients.
- Partner with branch teams and specialists in investments, mortgages, and business banking to expand relationships.
- Maintain compliance with all policies, document interactions, and support teller operations as needed.
- Facilitate huddles, debriefs, and work flexible schedules including Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred) and 1+ year sales/customer relationship experience.
- Knowledge of consumer credit (LTV, DTI, credit reports) and sales techniques like prospecting and networking.
- Proficiency in PCs, MS Office, and digital banking tools; comfort with small business clients.
- Strong ethics, work ethic, and ability to influence partners.

- Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security, and audit procedures
- Support branch operations including teller line assistance
- Participate in morning huddles, end-of-day debriefs, and work Saturdays as needed
