Position Summary

The Private Client Advisor at KeyBank focuses on mass affluent clients ($250K-$2M investable assets), delivering holistic financial planning and investment solutions. As the primary provider of investment services, you'll partner with retail branch teams to identify opportunities, grow relationships, and drive sales production. This full-time, mid-level role offers a consultative approach to financial wellness, cross-selling banking products, and building lasting client partnerships in Newcastle, Washington.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow new clients and expand relationships for those with $50K+ investable assets, targeting $250K-$2M through consistent sales processes.
  • Lead holistic Financial Wellness conversations and create comprehensive financial plans to uncover investment and banking opportunities.
  • Provide needs-based investment solutions using consultative sales and assessment tools, partnering with branch staff.
  • Achieve sales and referral goals via book of business, leads, and referrals.
  • Cross-sell Key Investment Services and bank products while generating qualified referrals.
  • Collaborate with branch teams to identify referrals and coach personnel on investment opportunities.
  • Develop Center of Influence strategies leveraging Consumer Bank partnerships.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma (required); Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • Licenses: FINRA SIE, S7, S66 (or S63 & 65), and Resident State Insurance Licenses (required upon hire); CFP (preferred).
  • Skills: Proven sales results, client-centric focus, team collaboration, knowledge of bank-based investments, proficiency with financial systems.
  • Other: Valid driver's license; occasional travel; ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Note: Licenses must be obtained within specified timeframe if not held at hire; failure may result in termination.
