Position Summary

The Private Client Advisor at KeyBank plays a pivotal role in serving our mass affluent client base. This position emphasizes planning and financial wellness, delivering investment solutions to clients with investable assets between $250,000 and $2 million. As the primary provider of investment services, you'll build strong partnerships with retail branch teams and centers of influence to drive full relationship growth, including banking referrals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow new clients and expand existing relationships targeting mass affluent segments.
  • Lead holistic financial wellness conversations and develop comprehensive financial plans.
  • Execute a consultative sales process using assessment tools for needs-based solutions.
  • Achieve sales production and referral goals through proactive lead management.
  • Collaborate with branch personnel to identify investment opportunities and coach on best practices.
  • Build a Center of Influence strategy leveraging Consumer Bank partnerships.

Required Qualifications

To succeed as a Private Client Advisor, candidates must hold FINRA licenses (SIE, S7, S66 or S63 & 65) upon hire, along with required state insurance licenses. A High School Diploma is required (Bachelor's preferred), with CFP certification highly valued. Strong sales track record, client focus, and teamwork skills are essential. Physical demands include office work with occasional travel and driving.
