Position Summary
The Private Client Banker (PCB) at KeyBank's Monroe, MI branch plays a pivotal role in the Key Private Client Program. Focusing on clients with up to $2M in investable assets, PCBs act as comprehensive financial advisors, assessing needs, documenting data, and delivering tailored solutions. This full-time position combines relationship building, sales expertise, and referral partnerships to enhance client confidence and financial wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Embody a client-centric culture by listening for financial opportunities and providing customized recommendations, including referrals for investments and insurance.
- Prospect and develop internal/external referral sources while documenting efforts to build a robust client pipeline.
- Open various accounts (checking, business, deposits, lending) and deepen relationships through partnerships with Retail, Investment Services, Private Bank, Mortgage, and Business Banking teams.
- Maintain compliance with all policies, support branch operations like teller duties, and participate in team huddles.
- Stay knowledgeable on KeyBank products, competitive offerings, and digital tools to educate clients effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- FINRA S6, S63, SIE licenses required upon hire; Life and Health insurance knowledge preferred.
- Proven experience in customer relationship development, sales goals, and referral building in insurance/investments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, sales techniques (prospecting, networking), and comfort with small business clients.
- Proficiency in MS Office, PCs, and digital banking platforms.
