Position Summary

The Quant Analytics Lead Associate at KeyBank plays a pivotal role in developing and validating predictive and machine learning models to solve complex business challenges. Working under some supervision at our 4900 Tiedeman Road location in Brooklyn, Ohio, you'll use advanced statistics, mathematics, and programming to answer critical questions like 'What will happen next?' and 'What should we do?' This mid-level position offers autonomy in data analysis and model building while collaborating with business partners to deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative analysis, hypothesis testing, and root-cause analysis on large datasets with increasing autonomy
• Support working groups by identifying data needs and creating structures/transformations for analysis
• Develop, maintain, and implement statistical and machine learning models addressing specific business requirements
• Apply critical thinking to select optimal approaches for diverse problem statements
• Anticipate business needs and drive continuous improvements in models and processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, financial engineering, data sciences, or related quantitative field (Master's/PhD preferred)
• 2+ years relevant experience (1+ year with advanced degree)
• Advanced proficiency in SQL/NoSQL, Python/R/SAS, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong data literacy: data structures, hypothesis testing, ETL processes
• Understanding of model risk management, machine learning fundamentals, and cloud/distributed computing
