Position Summary
The Relationship Officer, Commercial Banking supports designated Relationship Teams by managing service requests for an assigned client portfolio. This hybrid role (2 days on-site weekly at our 175 S 3rd Street office or nearest KeyBank location in Columbus/Akron markets) involves coordinating deposit accounts, resolving loan issues, and ensuring compliance. Hours are 8-5pm EST. Ideal for professionals with commercial banking experience seeking to deliver exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Account Management
- Coordinate new deposit account setups, maintenance, and closures.
- Resolve overdrafts, insufficient funds, and loan/fee delinquencies with Relationship Managers and NSF teams.
- Handle routine and complex client inquiries, submitting DDA service requests and ensuring timely follow-up.
Compliance & Partnerships
- Partner with internal teams, operations, and third-party providers for seamless service.
- Provide prompt responses to GRC testing, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Adhere to BSA/AML, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and KeyBank policies.
Business Development
- Identify cross-sell opportunities for treasury, cash management, and other products.
- Maintain product knowledge to support client referrals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (required).
- 1+ years in commercial banking support; 2+ years in commercial lending preferred.
- Proficiency in deposit/loan servicing, compliance regulations, and process optimization.
- Strong skills in client service, audit response, and team collaboration.
