Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Business Development
- Develop deep understanding of client businesses, portfolios, and strategies to provide value-added financial advice.
- Leverage KeyBank’s product platform including credit facilities, investment banking, cash management, and debt capital markets.
- Drive revenue growth through new business development and deepening existing relationships.
Deal Leadership & Risk Management
- Serve as deal team leader for complex transactions, coordinating partners for seamless execution.
- Structure deals to maximize risk-adjusted returns while maintaining strong asset quality.
- Proactively manage portfolios, resolving issues and assigning accurate risk ratings.
Team Mentorship
- Mentor junior bankers, provide training, and embody KeyBank values.
- Participate in community organizations to enhance expertise and profile.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10-15 years of real estate lending experience, including downcycles.
- Proven balance of business development and risk management.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
Preferred: MBA, credit underwriting experience, or product roles in commercial mortgage/investment banking.

- Identify cross-sell opportunities and deepen client relationships
- Mentor and coach junior team members, oversee complex transactions
- Participate in community and professional organizations to enhance expertise
