Position Summary
KeyBank is seeking a motivated Senior Lead Accountant - Policy in Brooklyn, Ohio, to support the development, implementation, and interpretation of accounting and regulatory policies bank-wide. Key Responsibilities
- Research and interpret U.S. GAAP and regulatory guidance to ensure compliance.
- Draft and maintain internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Analyze impacts of new products, transactions, and regulations on accounting.
- Prepare technical memos, white papers, and financial disclosures for 10-Q/10-K.
- Monitor FASB/SEC developments and collaborate on audits and special projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- 4-6 years in public accounting (Big 4 ideal), financial services, or equivalent.
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge; banking/financial instruments experience a plus.
- Analytical mindset, excellent communication, and ability to thrive in ambiguity.

- Prepare technical accounting memos and white papers under senior guidance
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Legal, and business units for consistent policy application
- Monitor developments from FASB, SEC and summarize key impacts
- Assist in review and preparation of financial disclosures in Form 10-Q and 10-K
- Support internal and external audit processes with documentation and technical support
- Participate in special projects including policy updates, system enhancements, and training
