Position Summary
The Senior Merchant Business Advisor plays a pivotal role in KeyBank's Core Business Banking sales teams, driving growth in merchant services within the Pittsburgh, PA territory at 11 Stanwix Street. As a trusted advisor, you'll develop and retain profitable client relationships for businesses with basic to moderately complex payment needs. This full-time, mid-level position offers a base salary of $56,000 - $85,000 annually, plus incentive compensation, in a flexible workspace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new merchant services relationships via prospecting, external sources, and referrals from Retail Banking, Business Banking, Private Banking, and Treasury teams.
- Consult with businesses to recommend and sell payment solutions like credit card processing, check processing, gift cards, ACH, hardware, and software.
- Identify additional banking needs and partner with KeyBank resources to deliver holistic solutions.
- Prospect regionally to boost referrals and resolve client issues for maximum satisfaction.
- Collaborate across bank lines for growth opportunities while adhering to all KeyBank policies.
Required Qualifications
To succeed as a Senior Merchant Business Advisor, candidates need:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in payments within banking and 3+ years in client-focused roles with growth goals.
- Strong financial acumen, negotiation, and closing skills.
