Position Summary

As Senior Vice President, Clean Energy Account Manager at KEF, you'll lead the growth of our Clean Energy Vertical. This remote role (Ohio-based) involves full-cycle sales for renewable energy financing, including solar PV, energy storage, EV infrastructure, and more. Structure and close deals from $2MM-$100MM, leveraging PPAs, tax credits, and incentives to deliver high-ROBC returns. Ideal for seasoned professionals with deep clean energy finance expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, structure, and close renewable energy finance transactions with developers.
  • Manage client relationships, financial modeling, credit analysis, and syndication packaging.
  • Master regional incentive programs and negotiate with C-suite executives.
  • Collaborate across KEF teams, KeyBanc Capital Markets, and KeyCorp for cross-selling.
  • Mentor and recruit to build the Clean Energy platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 8+ years consultative sales in clean energy/project finance.
  • Expertise in renewable markets, PVSyst, PPAs, tax credits, and structured deals.

  • Experience financing large structured PPA-based transactions (experience)
  • Strong track record sourcing and growing new business via developer relationships (experience)
  • Expert communication, presentation, and public speaking skills (experience)
  • Proven experience negotiating with C-suite executives (experience)
  • Current relationships in clean energy industry (preferred) (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Grow KEF's Clean Energy segment by identifying, developing, structuring, and closing renewable energy finance opportunities
  • Manage full sales cycle including prospecting, client relationships, transaction structuring, financial modeling, and credit analysis
  • Develop understanding of energy/solar incentive programs and structure transactions accordingly
  • Support existing developer relationships and prospect for new ones
  • Engage, propose, and negotiate with C-level decision makers
  • Collaborate with internal KEF departments and KeyBanc Capital Markets
  • Cross-sell with other KeyCorp units and align with corporate initiatives
  • Mentor, train, and recruit team members to expand the platform
