Position Summary
The Sr. Equipment Finance Officer role at KeyBank in Rochester, NY, focuses on identifying, developing, and closing end-user-based equipment finance and lease transactions. Targeting middle-market to small corporate companies ($10MM-$2B revenue) in sectors like Manufacturing, Retail, Wholesale, Transportation, Healthcare, Technology, Food & Beverage, Services, and energy-saving projects. Manage a $45MM territory with products including tax-oriented offerings, traditional debt, and tax-exempt solutions for manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a territory of approximately $45MM through prospecting and client relationships.
- Travel 25%+ within territory, including 5-6 overnight stays monthly; must reside locally.
- Structure and sell true lease transactions, applying credit analysis per Key's risk philosophy.
- Package, price, and close deals while managing client relationships and CRM systems.
- Collaborate with Credit, BPU, Syndications, and KeyBanc Capital Markets teams.
- Deliver strong presentations and sales skills in one-on-one and group settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, economics, or equivalent.
- 6+ years equipment leasing sales experience with end-user focus.
- Proven skills in selling tax/non-tax products, financial/credit analysis, and CRM software.
- Exceptional communication, critical thinking, collaboration, and business acumen.
- Ability to work independently and in teams; handle overnight travel.
