Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Data Governance and Enablement leads the development and execution of robust data and analytics governance processes. Based at our state-of-the-art facility at 4910 Tiedeman Road in Brooklyn, Ohio, this senior leadership role drives data risk assessments, guides Material Business Units (MBUs) in managing critical data elements, and ensures alignment with KeyBank’s Data Risk Policy. Ideal for seasoned professionals with deep expertise in data governance, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration, this position offers the chance to mature our enterprise-wide governance program in a fast-paced banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive data risk and control coverage assessments for critical use cases and partner with MBUs to identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
• Scale assessment processes for essential and non-essential data as governance matures.
• Develop operational procedures, implement governance controls, and enhance related metrics.
• Direct the creation and delivery of data and analytics governance risk metrics.
• Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to ensure control expectations are met and provide expert guidance.
• Support program expansion and evolution in alignment with strategic objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Risk Management, Business Management, Data Governance, Finance, or Management Information Systems, plus 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven data management background with strong data risk and control assessment frameworks.
• Exceptional organizational, project management, and communication skills.
• Strategic thinker with execution prowess, adaptable to fast-paced settings and new technologies.
• Experience managing workflows, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data and analytics governance experience; DCAM certification.
• Expertise in controls development, metrics reporting, and Archer GRC.
• Ability to influence without authority and drive continuous improvement.
