Position Summary
Join KeyBank as Vice President, Portfolio Management (Upper Middle Market) in Cleveland, OH. This individual contributor role focuses on financial analysis, credit underwriting, and portfolio monitoring for multimillion-dollar corporate credit facilities. You'll support business growth while maintaining asset quality within a moderate risk profile, working primarily on syndicated participations with select lead deals. Demonstrate leadership in credit decisions, collaborate with deal teams, and mentor junior staff in this high-impact first-line defense position.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis including spreading statements, calculating metrics, and modeling scenarios
- Prepare comprehensive credit underwriting documents identifying risks and mitigants
- Structure complex transactions and manage approval processes for new credits and amendments
- Monitor portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and maintain accurate risk ratings
- Review legal documentation and ensure regulatory compliance (KYC, OFAC, Beneficial Ownership)
- Build client relationships through site visits and management presentations
- Provide guidance to Analysts and Associates while contributing to industry white papers
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in corporate credit underwriting and portfolio management
- Strong financial modeling skills with ability to analyze downside scenarios
- Deep knowledge of syndicated lending and credit documentation
- Regulatory compliance expertise including AML/KYC requirements
