Position Summary

The VP, Portfolio Management role at KeyBank is a pivotal individual contributor position responsible for financial analysis, credit underwriting, and portfolio monitoring for multimillion-dollar corporate credit facilities. This role supports business growth while maintaining asset quality within a moderate risk profile. You'll handle new credit approvals, amendments, syndicated participations, and ongoing portfolio oversight, demonstrating leadership in deal teams and providing guidance to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Underwriting

• Analyze financial statements, calculate credit metrics, and model future performance including stress scenarios
• Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda identifying risks, mitigants, and industry trends
• Conduct enhanced leveraged cash flow due diligence for specialty portfolios

Portfolio Management & Risk Monitoring

• Monitor covenant compliance, liquidity, and earnings trends for assigned portfolio
• Maintain accurate risk ratings and ensure data integrity across KeyBank systems
• Identify and manage problem accounts with Asset Recovery Group collaboration

Compliance & Relationship Management

• Ensure KYC, OFAC, Patriot Act, and Beneficial Ownership compliance
• Review legal documentation including credit agreements and collateral
• Build direct client relationships through site visits and management presentations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive corporate credit underwriting/portfolio management experience
• Proven expertise in financial spreading, modeling, and credit analysis
• Strong understanding of syndicated lending and complex credit structures
• Excellent regulatory compliance knowledge (KYC, BSA/AML, OFAC)
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor junior analysts
• Solutions-oriented mindset balancing growth and risk management
