Position Summary
As VP, Portfolio Management (Utilities, Power and Renewables), you will lead complex multimillion-dollar credit transactions for Utility, Power, and Renewable energy clients. This senior role involves financial analysis, underwriting, deal leadership, and client relationship building. Key Responsibilities
Underwriting and Analysis
- Serve as lead underwriter for credit transactions, recommending capital structures and managing approvals.
- Review financial statements, models, and data to build analytical foundations for credit decisions.
- Prepare detailed credit documents highlighting industry trends, market share, and financial risks.
Portfolio Management and Execution
- Monitor portfolio performance, oversee reviews, and ensure prudent capital use.
- Negotiate documentation for credit agreements, notes, and collateral.
- Conduct client site visits, support syndication, and identify cross-sell opportunities.
Leadership and Development
- Mentor junior staff and assist in marketing presentations.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and proactively manage problem accounts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in business, finance/accounting, or related field with 5-10 years in corporate/project finance, or MBA with 4-6 years experience.
- Expertise in financial modeling, accounting, and key financial metrics.
- Strong data analysis, writing, and presentation skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
