Job Overview

The 3rd Shift Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor at Kroger plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing facilities during overnight hours. This position oversees a team of maintenance technicians, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and minimizes downtime to support Kroger's commitment to high-quality production and distribution of grocery products. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the supervisor ensures compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance staff on the 3rd shift, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to achieve operational goals.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in manufacturing equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures and extend asset life.
• Coordinate with production teams to schedule repairs with minimal impact on output.
• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to food safety, GMP, and environmental regulations.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ordering supplies as needed within budget constraints.
• Train team members on safety protocols, equipment operation, and best practices.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS software.
• Collaborate with engineering and vendors for major repairs and upgrades.
