Job Overview

The Asset Protection Security Specialist at Kroger plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, preventing loss, and ensuring a safe environment for associates and customers across our retail locations. This position involves proactive monitoring, investigation, and collaboration with store teams to mitigate risks such as theft, fraud, and safety hazards. As part of Kroger's HR-supported security team, you will report to the Asset Protection Manager and contribute to maintaining the integrity of our operations in a fast-paced grocery retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems and conduct foot patrols to identify and deter theft.
• Investigate incidents of shoplifting, internal theft, and other loss events, preparing detailed reports for law enforcement when necessary.
• Train store associates on asset protection best practices and loss prevention techniques.
• Collaborate with HR and management to address policy violations and employee-related security issues.
• Perform inventory audits and monitor high-risk areas to minimize shrinkage.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Previous experience in retail security or law enforcement is preferred.
