Key Responsibilities
- Design and decorate custom cakes, cupcakes, and specialty desserts using advanced icing techniques, fondant, and edible decorations.
- Consult with customers to understand their vision and recommend design options based on trends and availability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in baking, mixing batters, and preparing fillings to support department operations.
- Monitor inventory of decorating supplies and notify management of reorder needs.
Skills and Qualifications
Ideal candidates possess strong artistic skills, attention to detail, and experience in a fast-paced retail bakery environment. Knowledge of food allergens and safe handling practices is essential. You must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Previous experience with Wilton or similar cake decorating methods is highly preferred.
