Key Responsibilities

• Design and decorate custom cakes, cupcakes, and specialty desserts using advanced icing techniques, fondant, and edible decorations.
• Consult with customers to understand their vision for special occasions like birthdays, weddings, and holidays, providing expert recommendations.
• Prepare bakery items according to recipes, ensuring consistent quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols to comply with health regulations.
• Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and rotating stock to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
• Support team efforts by baking basic items, packaging products, and merchandising displays to attract customers.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates bring creativity, precision, and a passion for baking. Previous experience in cake decorating is preferred, along with knowledge of food safety practices. You must thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, possess strong customer service skills, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Training will be provided to align with Kroger's standards.
