Our bakery departments are the heart of the store, offering fresh daily baked items, custom orders, and seasonal specialties.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and decorate cakes, cupcakes, and tortes using advanced icing techniques, piping, and artistic skills to meet customer specifications.
• Prepare bakery products from scratch, including mixing batters, baking, and finishing with glazes, fillings, and decorations.
• Consult with customers to understand their vision for custom cakes, providing expert advice on flavors, designs, and feasibility.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery environment in compliance with food safety standards and Kroger's quality guidelines.
• Manage inventory of baking supplies, rotate stock to ensure freshness, and place orders as needed to keep the department fully stocked.
• Assist in general bakery operations, such as slicing breads, packaging items, and supporting team members during peak hours.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates bring creativity, precision, and a passion for baking. Previous experience in cake decorating is preferred, along with knowledge of food safety practices.
