Job Overview

The Bakery/Cake Decorator at Kroger is responsible for creating visually appealing and delicious baked goods, including custom cakes, pastries, and desserts. Key Responsibilities

• Design and decorate cakes, cupcakes, and specialty desserts using advanced icing techniques, piping, and artistic skills.
• Bake a variety of breads, rolls, cookies, and pastries according to Kroger recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure all products are fresh, properly displayed, and meet food safety regulations.
• Assist customers with custom cake orders, providing consultations on designs, flavors, and pricing.
• Maintain a clean and organized bakery workspace, including sanitation of equipment and surfaces.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have experience in baking and cake decoration, with proficiency in tools like airbrushes, fondant, and gum paste. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and customer service skills are essential. Knowledge of food safety (ServSafe certification preferred) and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is required. Physical stamina for standing long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs is necessary.
